What is it like sking in Japan in March?

I am thinking of going, however want to be certain the snow will still be good enough to ski in.
If anybody could enlighten me that would be brilliant

Thanks Smiley

Barring major climate March is a brill time to come Jo, esp. around Myoko and resorts nrby. Feb is the really heavy snow mth and that can cont. into March or even April. You can get some great sunny days inbtwn those heavy dumps.  Grin Never bn to Hokkaido bt sure that'd be awesome too in March. Still, I luv Akakura most of all.

Snow Depth Feb     250 cm
Snow Depth Mar    200 cm
Snow Depth Apr    150 cm

Hi Joanna, Welcome to the Myoko Kogen Ski Community Smiley

As the previous poster said, March should not be a problem at all. In fact next season there will be a new BASI Ski and Snowboard Instructor Course taking place in Myoko and that will run up to late March sometime.

I've boarded here in early May some years.  Shocked I think you could book with some confidence. Cool

Cheers, MG
