Myoko Kogen Snow Report 29th January 2014
Blues skies and white clouds in Myoko
Myoko Kogen Snow Report
We had about 10-20cm or so of snow last night. It started out as rain and then quickly turned into lots of nice white fluffy flakes. This was not forecast so it’s a bit of a bonus. It’s left a nice soft topping, albeit a bit wet/heavy, on the piste but I imagine will get tracked out quickly today if you’re not fast enough. Next snow is forecast for Friday.
This was the scene at Madarao Kogen this morning.
We’ve also grabbed a pic this morning from Togakushi Snow World which is about 45 minutes drive or so from Myoko Kogen. If you have a car this resort is well worth checking out.
Current snow and weather conditions in Myoko now
24 Hr Snow Fall: 15cm

And just for something different here was the snow clearing train working it’s way from Sekiyama to Myoko Kogen yesterday
