Myoko Kogen Snow Report 31st January 2014
The storm clears
Myoko Kogen Snow Report
So it was a bit of a wild night last night, thunder and lightning, a bit of rain. However the cold front moved in and the snow has started to come. We have only had 3cm so far however it is still snowing lightly on and off at the moment. The sun sticks it’s head through the clouds for awhile then goes away while there’s another smattering of snow. Piste condition will be average today and a lot of the powder pockets have been pillaged. Light snow is forecast but hopefully we’ll get a bit more than that.
Visibility was not good this morning at Akakura Onsen, as per the pic below but has now cleared quite a lot in the village. Still a bit foggy higher up the mountain.
Over at Suginohara they’re using the break in snowfall to carve out the park a bit more.
Going shooting today, I’ll see if I can bring you guys an extra piccie or two when I get back.
