Pukey Yuki!!

Myoko Kogen Snow Report

Well the forecast snow came a little later as predicted, which seems to be the norm this season, we had around 40cm over night but it is snowing HEAVILY right now, so expect much more throughout the day. (Later edit: It has continued through much of the day!).

Apologies for lack of a forecast yesterday there was fresh snow and sunshine at Seki Onsen (see pic below), so most available Myoko snow reporters were hitting the pow. Hell we’re only human!

Don’t forget to book your Myoko accommodation soon (if you haven’t already). Hotels are filling up!

This is the view in the Akakura Onsen village this morning, although the snow ploughs have been through on the roads the locals still need a bit of digging to get their cars out. Photo – Matty Hull

Above: Jackson Comben smashes through the Seki Onsen powder while on a shoot with Matt Hull for Snow Action magazine, this is a B roll shot, you wait til you see the winners!

Thanks to everyone who got along to Suginohara last night for the Dondoyaki Festival. It was a great night. You can see more pics of the event here.
