Myoko Snow Report 16 January 2016: A Beautiful Day

Myoko Snow Report 16 January 2016

Report by David Churchill / Myoko Snowsports

The sun is out this morning and there are a few clouds around.

Current Conditions
The temperature is sitting at -4 degrees in Akakura this morning and the sun is out. Winds are light.

24 Hour Recap
Yesterday began with moderate snowfall before becoming lighter throughout the day.

Today’s Picks
Not quite enough snow yesterday for a big pow day so the groomers are probably your best bet for fresh tracks this morning. Seki Onsen was beautiful yesterday with knee deep lightly tracked powder on most of the hill. This could be an option today, however it will be fairly tracked out from yesterday.

At this stage we’re still looking at consistent moderate to heavy snowfall between Monday night and at least Thursday. At least 50cm over this period, but most likely more.
