OverVIEW
Myoko Ski Park (妙高スキーパーク) is a small ski resort in the Myoko Kogen Ski Area adjacent to the Myoko Country Club (see golf). The ski area is ideal for beginners and families seeking to enjoy a leisurely skiing experience. Its sloping, wooded trails have a gentle 7-degree average slope with a very manageable 135 metres of vertical descent.
The ski lodge has all the facilities that one might require, including on-site restaurants and the resort is quiet and self-contained. Overall Myoko Ski Park is probably a good choice for families with younger children as the pistes tend to be pleasantly uncrowded and tere is also day care and/or children’s ski school. If you want to relax afterwards there are many onsen nearby. However, for skiers and boarders above beginner-level more than one day here will probably leave you wanting more choice.
