Myoko Kogen Snow Report 7th February 2014
More snow, more sun
Myoko Kogen Snow Report
Another great day to be out on the mountain. Yesterday people were still getting fresh tracks getting near to lift closing time. The snow continued through most of yesterday and into this morning. This morning was very cloudy but as the the day has gone on we are starting to see some blue skies. The piste today will be a mixture of compacted and untracked snow with plenty of fresh in the trees.

Think the snow is huge in Myoko? Try a trip to Matsunoyama near Tokamachi which is probably one of the snowiest places in Japan. This is a shot of the hardy volunteers yesterday clearing the local temple. Imagine it in a big snow year!
