Myoko Kogen Snow Report
It doesn’t get much better than today. The snow has just been dumping for about 18 hours leaving an extra cover of about 80cm in Akakura Onsen and other places. This morning around 9am the clouds cleared away and it’s a brilliant bluebird powder day in Myoko.
Yesterday there was a heavy snow warning issued by the city but that has been lifted now. The weather forecast shows more snow on and off for the next few days.
This was taken this morning in Myoko Suginohara. Pity about the large crowds. 😉
Over in Madarao Kogen today we heard one report that, “…the pitch is amazing, the runs are long, the snow is super duper deep and still untouched in many spots. There’s MAYBE 100 people on the mountain today”
Here’s a sequence from yesterday till this morning at Madarao displaying the falls they’ve had.
