Myoko Kogen Snow Report
A great day to be out on the mountain. The snow continued through most of yesterday and also part of last night. This morning we have awoken to cold temperatures (around -7 ° C at Akakura Onsen and -15 ° C at Suginohara) and a partly sunny day. The slopes today will be a mixture of compacted and untracked snow with the forecast for snow to return later in the day.
Here’s a panorama shot this morning of Myoko Suginohara, courtesy of the the resort.
It’s not so windy today, especially up the top and there are no unusual lift closures that we are aware of.
It was dumping yesterday. This was the scene in Akakura Onsen (photo by www.themattimage.com)
